New (Jack) Swinger here.

[the new jack method]

Hey guys. I'm 18 from Las Vegas, Nevada.

I just started getting into new jack stuff, I used to hear some of it back in the day (my sister and her friends used to dance to that stuff) but I didn't get into it until recently.

I enjoy quite a bit of music and collect CDs avidly, but my current collection of NJS is rather small. So far I have:

GUY - Self-Titled
Samuelle - Living in Black Paradise (my first NJS CD, found it at grandmother's house )
Blackstreet - Self-Titled and Another Level (if you consider them NJS)
Bell Biv DeVoe - Poison
The Good Girls - Just Call Me (Cassette)
The Good Girls - All For Your Love

And uhm, I think that's it. Anyways, I'm hoping to meet other NJS fans here.

Well..your wish is granted you'll find some NJS-lovers here this is the place to be if you want some help (in terms of advice) building a new jack collection. Hold on to that Good girls cassette you got. I don't know 'bout the states but in Europe that GoodGirls stuff is hard to come by.

oh and b4 I forget, big welcome

Cool. I'm about a year younger, give or take some months, and I recently got into NJS, but by means of GTA: San Andreas.

Have fun looking for more NJS since there's so much good stuff out there. People here far more knowledgable than myself can aid you in your quest for NJS, but I'll give you names worth checking out anyway: Today, Basic Black, Carl Linger (foreign), Tony Scott (foreign), Aaron Hall, Timmy Gatling, Boyz II Men, Johnny Gill, Keith Sweat, R. Kelly, Ralph Tresvant, Zan - just to name a few of the more consistent artists.

Also check out NJS radio, you'll find neat stuff. Enjoy.

DUDE, I love that game. I forgot how I got into New Jack Swing, but, I love the GTA San Andreas OST, and it's great that you mention it.

Also, the early Sonic the Hedgehog soundtracks (like Sonic CD) had some obvious NJS influence. And Toejam and Earl, probably.
