Hey guys!

I'm new here!

One of my mates found this site and told me, and I'm going to get him to sign up too!

NJS is passion #1 - I've been a serious collector since back in the day and it's good to find more people who are into this too!

I'm in London UK and let me know if any of you guys meet up at any time as would be cool to get involved more with this!

Please have in mind that I would like to join a hook up too when you guys want to do that in London. My best pal lives in London (Herne Hill), so I'm over in London about once a year 8)

Hey!

I'm originally Coulsdon, near Croydon/Purley, but I now live on the Isle of Dogs near Canary Wharf!!

Hey, have any of you heard the song by Young Rome called 'Freaky' - I got the instrumental of that recently - I HIGHLY recommend it!!

I'm going to Club Rouge this Sat for a bday party and I think the music there is old school R&B!.. at least I hope so! We have to do an NJS night! I'll help organising if needed!! :D

Rayfm, so you are a south Londoner (or saff londoner) like me!!! Infact, you only live a few miles away from me! I am just across the river facing you in Deptford! Actually, I can see the Canary Wharf and the Isle of dogs out of my kitchen window!! :shock:

Do you go to club rouge regular? Is it the club in Charing Cross? If it is thats an really 'exclusive' club where you are likely to see a celebrity or two! Recently, I went to the club 'Trap' just behind Oxford Street a few weeks ago. Where it was the new jack opening night for two female Dj's called the 'mistresses'. Take a look at this.. http://www.njs4ever.net/online/phpBB2/v ... php?t=1004 I haven't been there recently but this may make an good place for a NJS4E forum night out if ever there was one! I don't know who from the forum would be able to make it to this venue though! We all seem to be located in every corner of the globe!

Hey!

That's cool! When I'm playing my Keith Sweat & Guy 12's and I'm shakin my a$$ I wonder if you can see me??!!! LOL!!! :lol:

We should hook up for a coffee round Canary Wharf if you can make it! Would be cool to put a face to the name!! Plus we are practically neighbours!!

I haven't actually been to Club Rouge before, but I hear it has pretty good music - r&b, hip hop and bhangra. This is a bit of a long story, but my good friend's sister's husband actually owns that place!

I got home last night and I was pulling out my old Guy 12s and I listened to the full 8min ext version of Groove Me - they just don't make music like that anymore!!!

I'm sitting here at work remembering the Basic Black album - tonight I'm having a nostalgia night with my turntable and cd player... Basic Black "She's Mine" will be a sure fire tune to play!!

Let me know if you're around this weekend.. let's go for Starbucks (don't worry I'm totally normal and not a nutter!!!!)

I'm off on holiday next Friday but when I come back I'm taking DJ lessons! :) I can't wait because I want to USE my 12s, instead of just pulling them out from the rack for an annual outing to the turntable when I feel nostalgic!!

PS - does anyone have the full Mike E album??.. I have about 4/5 tracks but rumour has it that a few of those tracks were co-produced by Pharell & Chad with Teddy!

Hey guys!

Hope you had a cool weekend!

I went to Club Rouge on Saturday and all I can say is it's MASSIVE!!!

It's mainly, infact nearly all, an Asian (Indian) crowd there, so they have about 8 rooms ranging from Bhangra & House to mainstream R&B & underground R&B/hip hop.

The DJs in the mainstream R&B are pretty good, and to be honest that's where most people are.

If you are thinking of going, you HAVE to get on a guestlist, but on the night I met the owner's nephew who got us into all the VIP areas and skipped the queue and so would do it again for us. (My friend's brother-in-law owns the club and also half of China Whites so he's pretty well connected!!!!!)

Went to Reckless Records (R&B store) y/day and picked up some cool tunes including Red Light Green Light by Fred Durst & Snoop and Shake Dat hey! by Shawnna (for the Timbaland instrumental only!) - nice beat on that!

Any recommendations for any good new stuff out there?..
