Good to have you here, boosa1! Could you tell us a bit more about yourself? Where are you from? Who are your favourite artists? Anything you'd like to tell, either personal stuff or about your love for music...

As far as the beatmakers, I know we have some of them here, but I'd rather not just say their names like that. They should come forward themselves or (as I did) be PM'd I'd say. I don't think all of them would just want it to be commonly known that they create music. 8) I do hope we get to see some more of you here :D.

I create music but its mostly in lyrical forms with the instrumentals being as Count Basie would say 'head arrangements'.

I write mostly ballads and in a tad older soul vein. I do it mostly when something traumatic happens in my life. Other than that I don't do beats and am not a huge fan of most up-tempo music. Some soulful disco, northern soul, funk, and New Jack being the exceptions!
It's retro-nuevo not a New Jack ballad!!

We're still waiting for your first album to appear eddie! :D

As for myself, I mainly do megamixes and remixes for the fun of it. I'm sure some beat n sample cd's were released back in the early 90s. Checking out old issues of "Keyboard" or "Electronic Musician" could do the trick. Most public libraries tend to carry loads of back issues.
(hopefully) Coming soon:

Great, another yongster discovering the greatness of New Jack Swing! I love the fact that you want to bring back that New Jack sound, as I guess you think today's R&B (or what people call R&B) is weak too, like many of us do. All I can say is: keep checking NJS4E and read to get more info. There's plenty of information on here! And don't forget next week will be a special week, so keep checking back regularly!

What up Boosa1?
NJS4E came third in our category at the VH1 Hip Hop Honours Awards. What an amazing achievement.
