Hi everyone,
Another new member here from overseas (The Netherlands). I like this site alot and I loooove the new jack swing. My name is Gabi. Here's more about me:
Favorite NJSwing artist: Teddy Riley
Top 3 new jack swing song (like thats possible but Ill try):
1. Anything from Guy
2. Poison - Bell Biv Devoe
3. Try me - Yasmin Guy
Favorite slow jam: Babyface - given a chance
Besides that I also looooove music from the eighties. it reminds me of that time when I was not allowed to go clubbing yet. So I just turned my bedroom into my own club. Dancin on: Lisa Lisa & the cult jam, Midnight Star, Jody Watley (my eighties idol), etc etc.
So, thats it for now.

Hey Gabi:
You're alright with me if Babyface's "Given a chance" is your favorite slowjam. I was not crazy about the other artists you listed (I'm selective with Guy tracks especially and not a fan of BBD or Jody Watley's solo stuff.) Did you also like "Love song" from 1988 by Midnight Star which was sort of a sequel to "Slowjam"?

Hey thanks for the warm welcome...
Oooooh my bedroom-club.... You dont wanna know. There was no bar, no booze, there were no people (except from my girlfriends from time to time when I had sleepovers), I was the audience AND the DJ, but there was a dancefloor and there was music!!!
And now and then there was this woman knockin at the door. Not to get in the club... but to make me turn ***THAT D... THING DOWN***: ....my momma.
oooooh, dont let me make my mom sound bad here, after all, she watched Yo MTV raps with us all the time. She liked Bizz Markie...
Oooh, Midnight star man! I love almost all their slow jams.

Hey Gabi, welcome to NJS4E. We all hope you will stick around and share your views and experiences with us. You might want to join in the Slow Jams list, but feel free to browse, read, reply, whatever you feel like.
Your childhood idol worked with mine

. On Musical Youth's 'Different Style' LP, Jody Watley sang on the song "Incommunicado". It was a more disco-style effort, tartgeted at the US market and even though it's so different from their first effort, I still love that LP (both of them actually).
