Njs4ever: The Forum

Hi there folks !

Here is a little introduction from myself. My name is Dirk a.k.a. DBlicious and i am from The Netherlands.
Just wanted to say hi to everyone here in the forums. I love the NJS4ever website...it has very much info on the oldskool music i love so much.
As a hobby i run an internet radio station that is plays Funk, Soul, R&B, Oldskool Hip Hop and new Jack Swing Classics. I hope to meet some nice people on here and have some good conversations.

If you don't mind i will not post any song info from my station because i am not here to promote it.
The reason that i am here is that there are so much things i do not know yet when it comes to NJS and other Urban styles from the last 3 decades

Welcome to the forum, it's always good to see another member representing the Netherlands . What part of the Netherlands are you from? Were you into New Jack back in the days or did your interest come up just now?

Hi Freez,

I come from the north of The Neterlands, i live in a village very close to Alkmaar.
My interest for NJS and other urban styles did come up in the beginning of the 80's....during that period i was always busy making pirate radio with friends.
My inspiration came from stations like Counterpoint FM, Decibel and many others that were broadcasting during that period.

Well the North to me is Freez'land of course (together with Growningen ), but it's all good . Yeah, those were the radio stations back then... I never really listened to them, because I think they did not reach the East, but I know parts of their history and a good friend of mine knows almost everything about the Dutch radio history.

Welcome aboard, from one newbie to another.

Wow i have not been online for a few hours and then i have three more greetings from other forum members
Thank for your welcome musicdaughter, prettygrey_eyez and StevieSwing....yes the Netherlands is taking the forum over form here and from now on you guys have to wear wooden shoes and act like the Dutchies

It is nice to be here....i have my own forum on my website and over there i get maybe 4 or 5 messages a week, here i got them all in one day
