'Sup everbody! I'm planning my 30th birthday party for 2008 and it will be a New Jack Swing event!!

I'm so glad that I found this site because I'm a DIE HARD NEW JACK SWING FAN!!!! I haven't recently ordered the greatest hits of Bobby Brown, New Edition, Al B. Sure, Alexander O'neal, and Guy from Overstock.com. I'm in the process of ordering more but in the meanwhile I still have Blackstreet, R. Kelly, and several other NJS artists in my collection.

Thanks for starting this site and I look forward to being here more often.

Welcome aboard! I'm also a New Yorker but a bit more upstate. I must say NYC radio is a bit boring nowadays!

I honestly don't even listen to the radio here in NYC anymore. During the NJS Era, 107.5 WBLS and 98.7 Kiss FM were the best stations to listen to. If I do listen to the radio at all, these are the only two stations that I will turn to because they play the classics and smooth R&B. I really can't get with THE OTHER two urban radio stations.

Actually I mostly listen to CD 101.9 -the smooth jazz station. There's more variety and a greater songbank but I could do without Michael Bolton and Steeley Dan. Actually smooth jazz is the only current style of music that reminds me of NJS era stuff. Definitely today's R&B bares little resemblance to it.

I remember CD.101.9 when visiting the US back in 1996. They played some good stuff but some rather bland and unspired tunes too. Definetely way too much Kenny G! (this was '96 though, things might have changed for the better).
