wow.this web site is fantastic.I grew up in this eraand I can remember all the great music that holds a place in my memories, like guy[especially the first album, its a classic,i still listen to it when i feel nostalgic]the first group i heard from this era who basically turned me on to new jack swing and r and b in general[although we didnt call it that back then]way back in middle school[junior high]wow, its been too long.then came bell biv devoe, new edition, bobby brown, keith sweat,al b. sure, etc, that turned me on to the hiphop of the day[88 to 93,the golden age of creativity,in my opinion]like big daddy kane, eric b. and rakim,mc lyte, heavy d,etc,.i remember the fashion too,[the baggy,parachute-like pants, the steel toe leather shoes, flatops and fades, the dances,la raider gear everyone was wearing[down my way anyway],i could go on and on,but anyway thanks

This website also take me back when I was in junior high school in the late 80s and high school in the early to mid 90s(I graduated in 1995). During that period, I used to tape songs off of the radio. I used to go to concerts to see The Boys, Heavy D and the Boyz, Guy, Kool Moe Dee, MC Hammer, 3 Times Dope(my aunt used to make EST his tuxedo), Tevin Campbell, Kris Kross, LL Cool J, Xscape, Solo, 112, and then some. I went to a lot of movies during the new jack and hip hop soul era. I saw House Party, Boomerang, Jungle Fever, House Party II, South Central, The Bodyguard, Poetic Justice, Friday, House Party III, The Five Heartbeats, Set It Off, Booty Call, and that's all the movies that I can think of. I used to be a HUGE fan of Tevin Campbell and The Boys during the new jack era. In spite of all that, I was mostly a homebody. I stayed in the house a lot, but I used to watch and tape a whole lot of videos during that time and my father used to beg me to go outside, but what's to do outside that I can do inside? It wasn't that many kids around my age. NEW JACK AND HIP HOP SOUL FOR LIFE!!!! :P
