My God! Look at all the white guys!!!
I thought this was a shrine to the development of BLACK urban music?
Tim, I wondered when someone was going to point that out!!!
Not, that it really matters what colour you are.
Without sounding rude...I'm being nosey actually!....Are there any black guys or girls in this forum who post reguarly. I just thought it would be interesting to know!
Just for the record I am mixed race....my Mother is white and my Father is Black......

Hehehe, I think one of the great things about the forum is that racial stereotypes come into play a lot less !
But, in terms of your q Mello ...when you say Black, do u mean of African descent ? I ask, because (as u know hehe), I was born in Australia, but my folks are of Sri Lankan descent ...so I'm curious Mello, in your opinion, what does that make me ??

Don't know how old you are dude, and how things are in Sydney, but I recall back in the Glory days, the club scene use to be dominated by Lankans and Indians but at the R&B clubs I've been to recently, I notice they're a minority. I know the appeal of the music has expanded 10-fold, but gee I know our peeps are out there somewhere ?!?
Maybe I'm just going to the wrong clubs !

I'm hearing you man, haha...'curries', the thing is bro, lankans, Indians, Pakistaniz whatever, they all got their own thingz hapening these days. What i'm saying is, they got their organisations, like each university would have a group rep'n the curries, and they have parties, showz, etc. Itz done pretty well too, the last couple of times we got hooked up wif awesome dj's (nino brown, samarai). So yeah , still u don't see many of us around at the clubs, i know what your sayn.
Well im 18 man, so your 'glory' days wr my 'power rangers' days haha, but i would of loved it, i always thought i was born wayy too late. Thers no doubt we can get njs spreadn, every lankan i know loved the CDB times, i'm sure as AL B i'll do my best to promote NJ, coz man we NJS loverz r the lucky ones, the rest r js missing out on killa music haha...peace bro.

When I asked the question I was refering to black in terms of ethnic group. So I mean people who are black skinned with african ancestory.
As for what ethnic group you belong to. I think that is a question that only you can answer! In terms of what group a person of Sri lankan decent would be classed as here in the UK It would be Asian.
It is interesting you asked me that question. Because being mixed race. I often get asked 'What colour do I feel I am'! A lot of people class me as black.....but, I have a mixed heritage....I am mixed race!

Hahaha, I think I sort of know how you feel...yes, I realise that technically speaking I am Asian, but honestly do find it rather odd to classify myself as Asian as I do not have the stereotypical Asian features (and please, no flames from any of you lovely Asian folks out there - there was NO malice at all in that last comment, I promise you !).
