hello everyone,
thought I'm fairly young, almost 22, my favorite music, the only stuff I listen to is technically, just found out, properly sociogically termed "new jack swing"! I feel today's music is not as good, and what is good are those artists that are clearly influenced by new jack swing and are sort of the "neo-swingers" like Usher, Ginuwine, and Dru Hill. But you guys forgot my most favorite and to me arguably the most important new jack swing group ... DEBARGE!!!. Everyone samples them, I wish they would make a comeback.

I must say....I really like the term you've apparently come up with:<b>"Neo-Swing."</b> In my humble and <i>personal</i> opinion, it seems to perfectly describe everything by <b>Usher</b>, <b>Brandy</b>, <b>B2K</b>, <b>Omarion</b>, <b>Marques Houston</b>, <b>Ginuwine</b>, <b>R. Kelly's</b> more uptempo material, and even <b>Justin Timberlake</b> and <i>some</i> of <b>JC Chasez's</b> material. Good call - that was excellent of you. Thanks!
Knyte.
P.S. And you're right about <b>DeBarge</b>, they have been sampled a lot, haven't they? Underappreciated? Definitely.
I agree with you. And actually when n'sync was a still performing, i always felt like JC was the better singer. But some how justin timberlake is now so huge winning grammys and all..oh wait..i know why.. he's made a successful career as professional micheal jackson/el debarge/ralph tresvant(and other wonderful falsettos) and also oh yes the image the most important thing these days. And I'm not trying to be a hater, its just there are people more original..like Alicia keys.
best,
