thanx 4 welcoming me onto the boards everyone.
abit more about myself, i'm 22, male from sydney australia.
other than new jack swing, i like soul/r&b, rap and a genre of music we here in australia call '80's funk' e.g. rick james, the whispers etc.
i first got into new jack swing around 1990/1991, at the very young age of 7, after hearing my uncles (who are now in their early 30s) pump out the sounds of Guy, Bell Biv Devoe, Tony Toni Tone and some others. Since then, the music for me was insatiable, and everytime i heard it, it made me feel good about life in general. At the time i had no one to share this love of New Jack Swing with, other than ppl much older than me, and til this day, many who are my age have never heard of New Jack Swing. Today when i listen to the music of that era, it gives me that same ol' feelin from back in the day...when life for me was carefree, enjoyable and innocent. only a few months ago i heard the teddy riley & tammy lucas hit 'is it good to you' for the first time in almost 12 years, and boy did it bring back the memories and that good ol' feelin again.
there is also a new jack swing tour happenin in australia this weekend, and i was quick to get my tickets for that. cant wait to see teddy riley & blackstreet, SWV and New Edition performing. i heard that teddy might even do a Guy set that night.

Hey Still _in_ 92.
Welcome in here. Rick James and Whispers 'ey? You caught my attention right there!!!
As for the New Jack City tour, I was just checkin' out the homepage... And if anybody should ever want to experience a great New Jack moment, that venue looks like the right place to be!!! I'm sure Teddy will do a couple of GUY songs. He almost alway does.
I'm looking forward to read your review on the concert.
By the way... You should tell your uncles about this forum too...
They might pay us a visit...
