Beginning in the summer of 1999 (KJUC-AM) I had a radio show at UC Santa Barbara called "New Jack City", which subsequently aired on 91.9 KCSB-FM from January to May 2000. As you might have already guessed, I played a lot of New Jack Swing music -- it was about 99% from my personal collection.
Creating and hosting "New Jack City" was a really fun time for me because it gave me the excuse to spend a whole lot of money on music I *love*. When that show ended, I was determined to continue commemorating the largely unsung hereos of the New Jack Swing movement, and *this* is why www.njs4ever.com exists today.

Above you can click on the Spring 2000 KCSB schedule. I've circled my slot in red. Words cannot express how much I enjoyed doing "New Jack City". Below are two sample playlists (one from my very first show) and the proposal I wrote to KCSB's Programming Board to land the gig.
