Tyler Collins
A wonderfully cute young lady, Tyler had one major hit entitled “Girls Nite Out”. Her 1990 debut album was pop fare at best, but her song “Beyond A Shadow Of A Doubt” was shimmeringly beautiful, and should have been a hit. In 1991, she released a follow-up, which performed even more poorly than her first. However she made notable appearances as a Cinderella type during the second season of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and as Tevin Campbell’s girlfriend in the video for “Goodbye”.
By 1993, Tyler Collins was never heard from again.

X-Clan
"Protected By The Red, The Black, And The Green..."
Highly respected by hip-hop purists, the X-Clan were a collective of Brooklyn-based rappers whose stage names were: Professor X The Overseer (son of activist Sonny Carson), Grand Verbalizer Funkin' Lesson Brother J, Architect Tactitioner Paradise, and Rhythm Provider Sugar Shaft. X-Clan virtually embodied the Afrocentric message that Public Enemy ushered in near the dawn of the New Jack Era (and it's sibling, the Golden Age of Hip-Hop). They released two albums during their run: 'To The East Blackwards' in 1990, and 'X-odus' in 1992. Sonically, the act was heavily influenced by the funk of Paliament/Funkadelic, and lyrically the act made it a point to infuse their music with a message. "Heed The Word Of The Brother" still gets airplay during old-school mixes on radio stations like KUBE-FM in Seattle and KMEL in San Francisco to this day.
In 1995, Sugar Shaft succumbed to AIDS. In 1997, Brother J released an album with a group named the Dark Sun Riders. Editor's Note: Any more info on this group (post NJS-Era) would be *greatly appreciated*
